On November 29, 2023, the 2023 Academic Exchange Seminar and Vocational Education Exhibition on the revision and development of China-Egypt Vocational Standards was held in Ethiopia. More than 20 representatives from vocational colleges and universities of China and Egypt made keynote presentations on "Sharing experience in revising and Developing and applying Vocational standards between China and Egypt, Sharing experience in international exchanges between vocational colleges and universities of China and Egypt". Xue Anshun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of our university, and Wang Zhanfeng, dean of the School of Highway and Railway Engineering, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Xue Anshun made a keynote report in the activity of "International Exchange Experience Sharing between Chinese and Egyptian Vocational Colleges", introduced the history and characteristics of our school, and focused on sharing the achievements of our school in international cooperation and exchange.He said that the school visited and investigated the actual development and needs of vocational education in Ethiopia, hoping to find out the situation, identify the problems, and put forward countermeasures, and also looking forward to reaching cooperation with Ethiopian institutions. He signed a memorandum of cooperation with Agjaro Institute of Technology on behalf of the University and exchanged gifts with Muktar Adem, the Dean of Agjaro Institute of Technology.

This conference was hosted by the Ethiopian Ministry of Labor and Skills, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education, the African Department of the "Belt and Road" Vocational Education Alliance, CIIC International Education Technology (Beijing) Co., LTD., and Create the Sun Uganda Petroleum Academy.

This visit promoted the high-quality development of international cooperation between our school and Ethiopian vocational colleges, and at the same time learned about African vocational education, which opened the prelude of international exchange and cooperation of our school to Africa. In the future, our college will continue to actively respond to the Belt and Road Initiative with practical actions and contribute to China-Africa vocational education cooperation.
