From July 4 to 11, 2023, at the invitation of Hudoy Berdiyev Sohep, General manager of Uzbekistan Maimore Co., LTD. (refer to as Maimore Company), Professor Zhang Peng from the School of Highway and Railway Engineering of our University went to Uzbekistan. Carried out technical services for Samarkand State municipal road modernization project and Bukhara A380 highway construction project.
At the same time, in order to prepare for the school's international exchange related work, Zhang Peng participated in the discussions of Chinese and foreign schools and enterprises such as McMoore Company, Shaanxi Road and Bridge Group Co., LTD. (refer to as Shaanxi Road and Bridge Group), Samarkand National University of Architecture and Architecture, and reached a consensus on cooperation in technical services and vocational education. Before Zhang Peng's trip, Yang Yunfeng, secretary of the Party Committee of the school, personally made a pre-trip education, focusing on the discipline requirements and clarifying the goals and tasks for him.
During his work in Uzbekistan, Zhang Peng successively inspected the construction of Mirzo underpass, Gagarin cross-railway bridge, river bridge and prefabricated beam yard of Maimore Company, conducted on-site technical training for project construction personnel, introduced Chinese technology and standards, and proposed two engineering construction plans for municipal Bridges. Put forward the existing problems and solving suggestions on the process details.
At the Samarkand Municipal Project Department and construction site of Shaanxi Road and Bridge Group, Zhang Peng held a forum with the alumni of our school to discuss the current situation and technical problems of upgrading and reconstruction of Uzbekistan's M34, M39, P49 and other highways, and put forward suggestions on project management, technology, personnel and international cooperation. He also visited the Uzbekistan A380 Highway Project Department of the 20th Bureau of China Railway, inspected the construction under construction on site, exchanged views on technical standards, construction techniques, equipment and facilities and personnel employment, and put forward suggestions on further developing overseas projects.

During his visit, Zhang Peng visited Samarkand National Teachers College and Samarkand National University of Architecture, fully discussed educational exchanges and cooperation, and agreed to actively build the "Qinling Workshop" on the basis of mutual visits and exchanges to deepen understanding, and explore more educational cooperation projects. He also visited Samarkand No. 31 School to discuss the specific work of selecting future students. In addition, through the connection between Uzbek enterprises and universities, initial contacts were established with two schools such as Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology to smooth the way for possible cooperation in the future.

At the forum organized by both McMoore Company and Shaanxi Road and Bridge Group, McMoore Company made it clear that they would sponsor 10 Uzbek students to study aboard in our school. The participants discussed the plan to form a joint education and training work for international students by McMoore Company, Shaanxi Road and Bridge Group, Chang 'an University and our University. Later, the education cooperation project was taken as an important part of international cooperation between Chinese and Ukrainian enterprises, and reported to the governor and mayor of Samarkand respectively, winning recognition and support from the state and municipal governments.
The school teachers' visit to Uzbekistan to carry out technical service work is not only the specific measures taken by the school to implement the China-Central Asia Summit, but also lays a good foundation for the school to recruit students from Central Asian countries and jointly hold the "Qinling Workshop" with colleges and universities in Central Asian countries ,Chinese-funded and foreign-funded enterprises, and successfully completed the scheduled tasks.
